Drainage Services Department says Xin Ding Xin's chemical supplies up to standard

Despite losing the bottled water contract, Xin Ding Xin Trade Company Limited is a supplier of chemicals for the Drainage Services Department.
The department confirmed that all the chemicals involved have met the specifications.
In June, the Drainage Services Department awarded a contract valued at over 6.8 million dollars to Xin Ding Xin, involving 940 tonnes of sodium bisulphite solution.
The department said the chemicals were used to remove chlorine from wastewater from the Stonecutters Island Sewage Treatment Works.
The department stressed it has a strict testing regime for the chemicals, noting that all samples have fully met the standards since the commencement of the contract.
