Government criticises certain foreign media's Lai case coverage

The Hong Kong Government has condemned certain foreign media outlets for disregarding obejctive facts presented during the court hearings in Jimmy Lai's case.
The statement pointed out the reports attempted to mislead the public into believing Lai has not received the necessary medical services, with the intention of discrediting the case involving the National Security Law, as well as the conditions of his detention.
It stated such actions are aimed at smearing and undermining the rule of law in Hong Kong, and violate the professional ethics of journalism.
