Trump plans to federalise D.C. police department beyond 30 days

Protestors are pushing back against the growing presence of National Guard troops and federal agents around Washington, D.C., which is part of the Trump administration's law-enforcement takeover. 

The D.C. Chief of Police has ordered some cooperation with ICE, authorising officers to share information with agents when they encounter undocumented immigrants. NBC reports.
