HK welcomed 4.39 million tourists in July, up 12%

The Hong Kong Tourism Board announced that approximately 4.39 million visitors visited Hong Kong last month, a 12 percent year-on-year increase.
Mainland tourists accounted for the largest number, at approximately 3.51 million.
Non-mainland Chinese visitors totaled 880,000, of which 450,000 were short-haul visitors, a 12 percent year-on-year increase.
Visitors from Japan and Taiwan showed particularly strong growth. Long-haul visitors totaled 263,000, a 21% year-on-year increase, primarily driven by the UK, the US, Australia, France, and Germany.
For the first seven months of this year, approximately 28 million visitors visited Hong Kong, a 12 percent year-on-year increase.
