Mainland university study subsidy scheme opens for applications for new academic year

The Mainland University Study Subsidy Scheme for the new academic year is now accepting applications from eligible Hong Kong students starting today until October 13th.
The subsidy scheme covers students enrolled in bachelor's degree programmes at 201 designated mainland institutions.
Funds will be disbursed annually with no cap on the number of recipients.
The amount will be distributed according to three categories based on the distance between the institution's location and Hong Kong with a maximum subsidy of 19,400 dollars.

Details of the MUSSS are available on the EDB website (). Eligible students are required to submit their applications via the MUSSS Electronic Application Platform (musss.edb.gov.hk) or send the completed application forms by post to the EDB on or before October 13. The EDB is expected to notify applicants of the application results in phases from the first quarter of 2026.
