Wildfires are causing havoc in southern Europe as countries grapple with another heatwave that triggered top-level weather alerts.
In Portugal, authorities said three major fires that started over the weekend were of concern.
Sunday's mercury rose to 43 degrees Celsius in some parts of Portugal.
Around 2,000 firefighters were deployed to battle the flames on the ground.
Similar operations were underway in Croatia, Spain, France, as well as in southern Italy to extinguish multiple wildfires.
The French national weather authority on Monday placed 12 departments on red alert, the highest heat warning.
Evacuation orders have been issued in several nations across Europe in what scientists say is the world's fastest-warming continent.
