Another youth hostel opens in Tai Kok Tsui with pet-friendly units

Another youth hostel project has started welcoming residents.
This one is located on Tung Chau Street in Tai Kok Tsui.
The development consists of two buildings, offering up to 676 residential places.
Monthly rents range from about 4,300 to 7,800 dollars a person.
Some units are also pet-friendly with facilities such as a gym and a music room.
This marks the sixth youth hostel project approved by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau to convert hotels and guesthouses into dormitories.
Applicants must be aged 18 to 30, employed, meet specified income and asset limits and do not hold residential properties in Hong Kong.
Since early June, about 1,000 applications have been received. Around 100 have been approved.
