Suspected double homicide in Sham Shui Po today.
An elderly mother and her son were found dead at a tenement flat.
A woman -- reportedly the male victim's older sister -- has been arrested.
Police have so far classified the case as murder.
The woman was taken into police custody.
It's understood she has a history of mental illness.
Around 4 p.m., police received a report from a social welfare worker who found a man in his 40s unconscious at a unit on Cheung Sha Wan Road.
After firefighters forced entry into the flat, they discovered the two bodies.
The mother of about 80 years old had neck injuries while the son in his 40s who had Down syndrome showed no obvious wounds.
Reportedly, the elder sister who allegedly killed them attempted suicide on the building's rooftop.
The woman and the two deceased resided in the same unit.
Police are investigating the motive behind the attack.
