Heavy rain expected on Wednesday and Thursday due to tropical cyclone Podul

The observatory forecasts Severe Tropical Storm Podul is set to enter within 800 kilometres of Hong Kong on Wednesday, and it will bring heavy rain to the territory.
The storm is currently about 1,210 kilometres east of Kaohsiung in Taiwan.
It's forecast to move westward at 25 kilometres per hour and gradually develop into a typhoon as it picks up speed and edges closer to the island.
Podul is set to move towards the east of Guangdong Province and southern Fujian, with the location of its landfall yet to be determined.
This as weather authorities predicted heavy rain will continue to affect the city on Thursday.
