China holds first rehearsal for 80th anniversary event of victory over Japanese aggression

Beijing held the country's first comprehensive rehearsal for the military parade on September 3rd to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
The rehearsal involved about 22,000 participants.
Organisers said the rehearsal covered tests of organisational, logistical and command operations.
The commemoration ceremony will include a military parade, is scheduled for the morning of September 3 in Tian'anmen Square.
