Water supply disruption as water main bursts in North Point

A water main burst in North Point has led to water supply disruption and affected multiple buildings in the district.
The water main burst occurred at Ming Yuen Western Street on Sunday night.
Police received the report at around 9 p.m.
Also drenched was a meter room at Ming Yuen Centre. As smoke emitted from the site, firefighters were deployed as a precaution while power company staff arrived to shut down the premises' main switch for inspection. Notices were posted in the affected building announcing the suspension of electricity and lift services.
Water supply is expected to be restored at 8 a.m. Monday.
