2 drug busts on the same day with $45 million of suspected drugs seized

Three local men were arrested in two separate drug busts in Yuen Long and Tsing Yi on suspicion of trafficking dangerous drugs.
Police seized suspected cocaine and cannabis buds worth about 45 million dollars.
On Friday morning, the police stopped a suspicious vehicle outside Shek Tong Tsuen in Yuen Long and discovered suspected cocaine.
The driver was arrested and taken to corrugated iron sheds.
There, they found a total of about 40 kilograms of cocaine with an estimated street value of about 30 million dollars hidden under floorboards.
At noon on the same day, two men were rounded up in Tsing Yi.
119 packages of suspected cannabis buds were found stashed in the furniture they carried, worth about 15 million dollars.
The trio, aged between 25 and 58, claimed to be self-employed and unemployed, will appear at the Tuen Mun and West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts on Monday.
