At this year's World Games in Chengdu, Hong Kong wushu athlete Lydia Sham struck gold in the women's Changquan, Jianshu and Qiangshu all-around -- delivering the city's third gold of the tournament.
Team Hong Kong, China's opening-ceremony flag bearer took an early lead in both Changquan and Jianshu, with a combined total of 19.5 points.
In the final Qiangshu round, the 25-year-old delivered a competition-high of 9.76, finishing on 29.26 overall -- just 0.071 ahead of her Malaysian rival to top the podium.
Meanwhile, clinching the city's second gold of the tournament, was Hong Kong's Anthony Yeung, who reigned supreme in the men's Taijiquan-Taijijian combined event.
Yeung put in a commanding display in Taijiquan, nabbing the highest score and earned the second place in the Taijijian sword event.
The combined total of 19.526 edged Japan's Tomohiro Araya by a 0.05 margin to seal the second gold for Hong Kong.
The first-time gold medallist at the World Games says he sees the Games as a warm-up ahead of the Asian Games with his sights now set on the World Championships in two weeks.
