China's national consumer price index remained unchanged year-on-year last month.
The National Bureau of Statistics announced that the country's policy of expanding domestic demand continued to yield results with the national consumer price index unchanged year-on-year in July, rising 0.4 percent month-on-month.
The core consumer price index, which excludes food and energy prices, rose by 0.8 percent year-on-year, expanding for three consecutive months.
Authorities said it's mainly because of lower food prices. The monthly increase, meanwhile, was driven by rising prices of services and industrial consumer goods.
