Wildfire in France kills one and injures 13 others including 11 firefighters

France's largest wildfire in decades continued to burn and spread on Thursday, after having already ravaged more than 160 square kilometres in the south of the country and claiming one life.
The blaze started on Tuesday and quickly spread through a region that was battling weeks of dry and hot weather.
The fire has swept through 15 communes in the Corbiere massif destroying or damaging at least 36 homes.
One person died in their home and at least 13 others were injured including 11 firefighters. Three people were reported missing.
Residents were urged to remain at home unless evacuation orders were issued by the fire department. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
