Immigration Department arrest 18 on suspicion of working illegally in the city

The Immigration Department arrested 18 people on suspicion of working as illegal labourers. Some of them are domestic helpers.
Between Saturday and Tuesday, the Immigration Department arrested four men and 14 women, aged between 19 and 54, in locations including restaurants and motels.
They have been working illegally as dishwashers, cooks or waiters. Most of them are from Indonesia or the Philippines.
The Immigration Department said some of the arrestees work normally as domestic helpers, while others have overstayed their visas.
