7 people remain missing after landslide in Guangzhou's Baiyun District

A landslide triggered by heavy rain in Guangzhou's Baiyun District has resulted in several people missing.
Seven people have been rescued so far while another seven remain unaccounted for.
Large numbers of structures collapsed while others suffered serious damage after the landslide.
Local authorities used wooden pillars to maintain the buildings' structural integrity and prevent them from slanting even further.
The natural disaster struck at around 8:30 a.m. today when consecutive days of heavy rain triggered the landslide, initially trapping 14 people.
More than 990 local residents had to be evacuated after the incident.
