The Hong Kong Observatory issued the Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal at 10:55 p.m.

Under the Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal, rainfall levels have exceeded or are expected to top 30 millimetres in an hour.

HKO adds that there will likely be flooding in some low-lying and poorly drained areas.
