The black rainstorm warning signal was issued and will remain in effect until at least 3 p.m.

The heavy rainfall caused floodings across Hong Kong.

The Drainage Services Department said that as of 8 a.m., 18 flooding cases had been confirmed, 11 of which had been resolved.

An open-air carpark in Po Lam in Tseung Kwan O was severely flooded again this morning. Some taxis were half-submerged.

As the heavy rain continued, water was pouring down from the adjacent hillside.

The Drainage Services Department deployed additional staff to clean up the area, including a water-sucking robot.

In a nearby village, muddy water from a mountain stream gushed onto the road, turning the road into a small river.

Cars drove down the slope into the muddy water, forcing residents to wade through it.

In Wun Yiu in Tai Po, the pedestrian tunnel became a waterfall, with muddy water and rainwater cascading down the stairs.
