Govt looking into SAR flag issue at World Rope Skipping Championships

At the World Rope Skipping Championships held in Japan, Team Hong Kong claimed multiple world titles in group events.
However, the SAR flag displayed during the contest has sparked concerns over possible design discrepancies.
The Hong Kong Rope Skipping Association says it strictly followed official guidelines provided by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department including downloading the flag file from a government website and submitting it to event organisers.
The Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau confirmed that it is looking into the matter with the association, adding that only officially approved SAR flag formats as published by the Protocol Division's website may be used at sport events.
