3 dead and 4 seriously injured in traffic accident in Macao

A fatal car crash unfolded in Macao early this morning, leaving four people dead and three seriously injured.
On Avenida da Amizade near the Grand Prix building, the driver of the private car reportedly lost control of the vehicle at around 6 a.m. and crashed into roadside railings.
Firefighters had to pry open the doors to rescue seven people -- five men and two women -- trapped inside.
The female driver and three other male passengers, aged between 19 and 21, were later pronounced dead at hospital.
Preliminary investigations suggest the car may have carried more passengers than permitted.
