The Red Rainstorm Warning Signal was issued at 10:35 p.m., marking the second red rainstorm alert issued today.
After nightfall, heavy downpours lashed Kwai Tsing district.
Also drenched was Sha Tin with the observatory warning that there could be severe flooding in the area.
The weather forecaster issued the Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal at around 9:45 p.m. tonight before elevating it to the second highest rainstorm alert at 10:35.
