This year marks the 70th anniversary of the launching of antique sailing boat Dukling, which now serves as a sea museum.

The shipowner said the functions of Dukling have always adapted to the times, embodying the spirit of Hong Kong to the public.
Being Hong Kong's oldest Chinese sailing boat still in existence, Dukling has been in use for 70 years.

Against the backdrop of commercial buildings by the Victoria Harbour, this red-sailed boat creates a scene that resembles a postcard unique to the city.

Over the years, the boat has transitioned from a fishing boat to a sightseeing boat offering harbour cruises, and now it takes on a new role as a sea museum, with historical photos, fishermen's hats and fishing tools on board.

The sailing boat retains its original hull design, including a signal bell that rings three times before departure.

Dukling once sank in 2014 and was later salvaged and restored.

Some equipment showing signs of corrosion and damage still exist.

The boat's director Mr. Dang said it is a testament to Hong Kong's Lion Rock Spirit, which embodies the resilience and flexibility of our ancestors.

Dukling operates four daily late afternoon and evening sailings, except on Wednesdays.

To celebrate its 70th anniversary, the original fare of 176 dollars for the first trip at 4:30 p.m. is reduced to 70 dollars from today on to September 30th.

Each trip is limited to 34 passengers, and people with Hong Kong ID card can register online on a first-come, first-served basis.
