Heavy rain has pounded Beijing and multiple regions up and down the country, including Hebei, Guangdong and Guangxi.
Beijing issued rainstorm warnings earlier today.
Noting that heavy rain will likely batter the capital between tonight and and early tomorrow, authorities have urged people not to venture out unless necessary.
In Shenzhen, yellow warnings for thunderstorms and gales were issued for districts including Nanshan and Futian with heavy rainfall expected to continue through tomorrow. Similar weather conditions in Shantou, Guangdong.
In Fujian Province, swollen rivers following Sunday's downpours. Six tourists were trapped in an attraction in Xiamen City. The route connecting the scenic site has been waterlogged, so rescue teams had to climb a cliff to extricate the tourists.
