Taxi driver who ran over an old woman jailed for seven months

A taxi driver has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm.
He was accused of injuring an elderly woman in Mong Kok two years ago. The judge took into consideration the offender's age and guilty plea when sentencing him to seven months in prison. His licence was suspended for five years.
The 74-year-old taxi driver ran over a woman aged 76 at the junction of Boundary Street and Sai Yeung Choi Street South around midnight two years ago.
The driver was said to have stopped the car 20 seconds after crash. He vowed to stop driving and asked for a more lenient sentence.
