No more Chikungunya cases have been reported in Hong Kong since last Saturday.

However, the Centre for Health Protection, or CHP, said it isn't ruling out the possibility of asymptomatic patients.

Meanwhile, four districts - Kai Tak, Lam Tin, Kai Tak North and Tseung Kwan O North - are above mosquito alert levels designated by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department..

The city's first Chikungunya patient is a 12-year-old boy, who is now in stable condition in hospital.

The CHP said despite its low mortality rate, around 15 to 20 percent of patients do not develop symtoms.

Chikungunya fever is mainly transmitted through Aedes albopictus, or asian tiger mosquitoes.

According to government survey results in July, Kai Tak, Lam Tin, Kai Tak North and Tseung Kwan O North recorded tiger mosquito density 20 percent higher than alert level, with Ma Wan being the most serious area.
