Two travellers arrested after $4 million worth of suspected cannabis buds seized

Customs officers have intercepted two drug trafficking cases at the airport, seizing about 20 kilograms of suspected cannabis buds with an estimated value of 4 million dollars.
They involved two foreign male passengers, aged 35 and 48. Both arrived in Hong Kong from Bangkok, Thailand. Customs found about 10 kilograms of suspected cannabis buds stashed in their checked baggage.
The pair were arrested and each charged with one count of trafficking in dangerous drugs.
They will appear at the West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts on Monday.
