More than 100 flats retrieved from well-off tenants since 2018

The Hong Kong Housing Society has retrieved at least 100 public housing units from well-off tenants who no long qualify for public housing since the policy was launched in 2018. 

Starting from next month, the Society will require its residents to declare their properties in the mainland.

Speaking on a radio programme, Ling Kar-kan chairman of the society said they will renew tenancy contracts in the coming year.

He said new terms will firstly be added in old contracts, and residents will have to declare their properties in the mainland.
