Beware of fake website of the Public Transport Fare Subsidy Scheme

The Transport Department is alerting the public to a fraudulent webpage posing as the official site of the Public Transport Fare Subsidy Scheme.
Authorities say the fake website does not bear the domain name of "gov.hk."
The Transport Department alleges that this website attempts to collect personal information including names, mobile phone numbers and credit card accounts from the public.
The department has handed the case over to the police for following-up while reminding the public to stay vigilant if they receive SMS messages from unknown sources.
If they have provided personal information to a fake website, they should alert the police about the situation.
