According to the Immigration Department, over the first six months of this year, 14 holders of recognisance forms, have been prosecuted for suspected working illegally as food delivery workers.

In the written reply to lawmaker Lai Tung-kwok, the government says that a total of 528 illegal workers were arrested in the first half of this year.

Among them, about 3 percent were prosecuted as illegal delivery workers.

Recognisance forms are commonly known as "going-out passes" which allow holders to stay in Hong Kong temporarily but prohibit them from working in the city.
