Donald Trump told reporters during a trip to Scotland that he had rejected an invitation from financier and alleged child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein to visit his private Caribbean island.

The U.S. president said he "never had the privilege" of attending.

His remarks came amid the controversy over his administration's handling of the "Epstein files." NBC reports.
