State media reported that China has successfully launched a new group of low-Earth orbit satellites. Built by the China Academy of Space Technology, they are the fifth batch of the country's low-Earth internet network.
At around 6 p.m. Sunday, a Long-March-6 carrier rocket blasted off from a launch centre in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province in northern China.
The satellites were sent into space to their designated orbit.
The launch marks the 585th mission of the Long March series carrier rockets.
