Heavy rain and flooding in Northern China

Mainland meteorological authorities issued the yellow rainstorm warning signal this morning with huge swathes of Northern China experiencing heavy rain.
This as floods were reported in many areas of Beijing, Inner Mongolia and Shanxi.
Beijing's three northern districts of Yanqing, Huairou and Miyun saw heavy rainfall between Saturday night and Sunday morning, with several villages experiencing flooding and landslides.
Local authorities in Miyun led evacuation efforts and rescued trapped residents, while roads in Yanqing suffered major damages.
In Datong City in Shanxi Province, a motorist went missing after their car was involved in an accident during the rain.
