Hong Kong recorded about 24 million visitors in the first half of this year, up 12% year-on-year.

Chief Executive John Lee said that under the new Policy Address, the government will continue to create "tourism hotspots" to promote the development of the tourism industry. He will attend the first regional consultation meeting on the Policy Address tomorrow.

Lee reviewed the measures to promote the tourism industry in the past year on social media.

He mentioned the establishment of the tourism hotspot development working group last year, and that nine hotspots were launched in May this year, including the scene exhibition of the movie "Twilight of the Warriors: Walled in".
