HK's 1st public e-car automatic hydrogen charging system is on the way

Towngas and Science Park have collaborated to build Hong Kong's first public electric vehicle automatic hydrogen charging system.
The two sides signed a cooperation agreement at Science Park. The system includes hydrogen extraction, power generation, energy storage, and power control equipment.
It can directly extract hydrogen with a purity of more than 99.97% from the gas pipeline network to supply hydrogen fuel cells for power generation.
The project is constructed by Towngas and operated by Science Park. It will supply power to the electric vehicle charging piles in Science Park, and can supply five 7-kilowatt electric vehicle charging piles per day.
The equipment is fully automated and is expected to be put into use in the second quarter of 2026.
