Ozzy Osbourne, lead singer of Black Sabbath, has died in the UK on Tuesday, surrounded by his family.
He was 76 years old.
The news comes just weeks after Osbourne's farewell concert with the band in his hometown of Birmingham in England.
Fans left flowers and paid tribute to the heavy metal star at key locations in the city.
John Michael Osbourne was born on December 3rd, 1948, into a working-class family, and was called "Ozzy" at school.
The singer rose to prominence as the frontman of Black Sabbath, formed in 1968, delivering hit songs like "War Pigs," "Iron Man" and "Paranoid," during which he adopted the nickname "Prince of Darkness."
After the band fired him in 1979 for his excesses, Osbourne launched a successful solo career with hard rock classics "Blizzard of Ozz" and "Diary of a Madman."
In 2020, he revealed he had Parkinson's disease after suffering a fall.
