Cyberattack targeting account holders of HongKong Post's online shopping portal

Hongkong Post's EC-Ship online shopping portal's account holders were the victims of a cyberattack.
The breach led to the leakage of information including EC-Ship account holders' communication records, names of senders and recipients, addresses and mobile phone numbers.
Hongkong Post is still investigating the number of people affected by the attack and has reported the incident to the police. EC-Ship has already resumed normal services.
Sources say the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer is working on fixing a loophole in the online shopping portal that could reveal account holders' addresses.
