Many residents in Heng Fa Chuen, a blackspot for flooding during typhoons, have already taken wind-proof measures.
Before Typhoon Wipha hit Hong Kong, the weather in Hong Kong was very good in the morning. The Standby Signal No. 1 is in force, and the Observatory will issue the Strong Wind Signal No. 3 at 2:20 p.m.
Many residents in Heng Fa Chuen have already taken wind-proof measures. The glass has been taped. Staff have also installed floodgates.
The benches on the shore have been removed to prevent them from being destroyed by strong winds.
During the 2017 Typhoon Hato, the carpark of Heng Fa Chuen was flooded. There were still many cars parked during the typhoon Wipha.
