The Very Hot Weather warning is in force. The Observatory warns the weather is extremely hot and there is prolonged heat

Meanwhile, the tropical cyclone over the east of the Philippines will move in the general direction of the northern part of Luzon today and tomorrow. It will enter the northern part of the South China Sea afterwards and intensify gradually, edge closer to the vicinity of the coast of western Guangdong. However, there are still uncertainties in its intensity. Under the influence of the outer subsiding air of the tropical cyclone, the weather will be persistently very hot over Guangdong in the next couple of days.
