Hong Kong horse racing hosted its season finale in Happy Valley Wednesday night. Nine races were held, and more than 26 thousand punters enjoyed the meeting.
The final race day of the season kicked off with live performances with Latin vibes, to get racegoers into the mood.
The event drew visitors from all over the world.
American tourist Aaron said, "It is season finale, so I expect it to be kind of ram-packed high energy."
"I am a fan of nightlife, so any type of promotion for it, whether that will be free or horse racing. I have never been to a horse race before so this is pretty exciting."
British tourist Russell also had good things to say, "I am a huge life long fan of the horses. I think it is one of the best-run race courses in the world, very professional, very honest. For me, this is the highlight of Hong Kong."
The whole place kicked into high gear as the horse races commenced. Nine races were held, while a fireworks display was featured in between.
Following tonight's finale, the horses will begin their summer break. The next racing season is set to commence on September 7th this year.
