70 arrests across UK as protests increase over Palestinian Action ban

Police across the UK made more than 70 arrests as protesters staged sit-ins and demonstrations in support of the banned Palestine Action.
Opponents of the ban held signs reading: "I oppose genocide, I support Palestine Action."
The most prominent event was in Parliament Square right outside the seat of power.
Police removed those who would not leave with about 40 detained here in the capital.
Officers took away others at similar demonstrations in Manchester and Cardiff.
Protest were larger than a week ago.
The government banned the movement after activists broke into a Royal Air Force base and damaged planes in Oxfordshire last month.
Palestine Action is now on a list of proscribed terror groups which includes Hamas and al-Qaida.
