Police catch suspect who fled scene of fatal Yuen Long car accident

Police have arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death.
This after a fatal car accident in Yuen Long on Tuesday. A 71-year-old cyclist died after being hit by a car. The driver fled the scene after the accident.
The 71-year-old male victim was hit by a private car on Long Ping Road in Yuen Long on Tuesday evening. The cyclist was sent to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver left the scene of the accident.
Acting on car plate information found at the scene, police arrested the vehicle's owner, an elderly woman, and her husband.
After an investigation, officers arrested the 19-year-old man this morning on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death.
Sources say he is the grandson of the arrested couple. The suspect does not have a valid driving licence.
