Flag-raising ceremony celebrates 28th anniversary of establishment of HKSAR

Today is the 28th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
A flag-raising ceremony was held at Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai to celebrate the occasion. Chief Executive John Lee led senior government officials to attend the ceremony.
Other guests included former Chief Executive and Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Leung Chun-ying. Two former chief executives, Donald Tsang and Carrie Lam also attended.
Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Zhou Ji, Special Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong Cui Jianchun, and representatives of other mainland institutions stationed in Hong Kong also attended.
The Government Flying Service helicopter saluted in the air with the national flag and the regional flag, and the fireboat sprayed water and the police boat saluted in Victoria Harbour.
