MTR appoints Jeny Yeung Mei-chun as CEO

The MTR Corporation has appointed Jeny Yeung Mei-chun as its next Chief Executive Officer, taking office on January 1 next year.

Yeung, who is 60, will be the first female CEO of the giant railway and property company, where she is currently Managing Director Hong Kong Transport Services. She joined MTR in 1999 and has served on a number of senior positions.

Yeung said "with a humble heart", she looks forward to creating value for the society and stakeholders.
 
MTR Chairman Rex Auyeung praised Yeung's vision and capability.

Yeung is appointed following a global recruitment search.
