Iran's national security committee has approved the general outline of a bill meant to fully suspend Tehran's cooperation with the U.N. nuclear watchdog.

Iran's committee spokesman Ebrahim Rezaei said according to the bill, installing surveillance cameras, allowing inspections, and submitting reports to the International Atomic Energy Agency, or IAEA, would be suspended as long as the security of nuclear facilities is not guaranteed. The bill still has to be approved in a plenary meeting.

According to IAEA, the U.S. bombing of Iran's nuclear sites caused "very significant" damage to the underground areas of the country's Fordow uranium enrichment plant.

The U.N. nuclear watchdog chief Rafael Grossi said no one can yet tell the extent of the damage.

The U.S. used its bunker-busting bombs in combat for the first time on Sunday to eliminate the Fordow plant.
