A construction company has developed an intelligent scaffolding monitoring system that sounds an alarm once the scaffolding becomes unstable or abnormal.
Being the city's pioneering intelligent scaffolding monitoring system, the device will be in use at a construction site in Kwu Tung North.
By incoporating artificial intelligence and sensor technology, the monitor will scan the scaffolding once every five seconds.
Once discrepency is detected on the sensor wire, or the scaffolding has a tendency to lean, alarm will be sent out to alert the site's safety managers.
The company believes the new technology can reinforce the safety of the scaffoldings, thus reducing industrial accidents.
