Xia Baolong continues on second day of inspection tour in HK

Xia Baolong, the Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, continues on the second day of his inspection tour in the city.
Xia was seen waving as he arrived at the Central Government Offices at around 9:30 a.m.
Beijing's top official overseeing the city's affairs arrived in the city yesterday afternoon via the Shenzhen Bay Port, first visiting the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and then Government House during the evening.
The Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office said yesterday that its director met with Chief Executive John Lee, as well as legislative and judicial authorities. He also held talks with a number of top government officials.
Xia praised the CE for ensuring national security and sovereignty and his efforts to develop the local economy.
He believes that Hong Kong will reach new heights of governance via the "One Country, Two Systems" principle under John Lee's leadership.
