West Kowloon Cultural District launches WestK Shanghai Week

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority has launched its first cross-border cultural showcase: "WestK Shanghai Week 2025," which runs from Wednesday until Sunday in six venues across Shanghai.
The opening ceremony was attended by Shanghai Vice Mayor Xie Dong, Secretary for Culture, Sports, and Tourism Rosanna Law and WKCD Chairman Henry Tang.
The event includes seven programmes, including an exhibition on architect I.M. Pei, original Cantonese-language musical theatre and traditional opera.
More than 100 Hong Kong-based artists are taking part in this large-scale creative crossover, highlighting Hong Kong's cultural influence on the global stage.
