A second-hand luxury handbag shop on Hart Avenue in Tsim Sha Tsui reported a loss of nearly 3 million dollars after a store employee was allegedly drugged.
It is understood that at about 1 p.m., police received a report that a 49-year-old female worker at the store was approached by a man wearing a black cap and a black face mask.
He allegedly covered her mouth and nose with a towel, causing her to lose consciousness before tying her up.
When she regained awareness and untied herself, she found that 14 handbags and a necklace worth about 2.96 million dollars were suspected to have been stolen.
It is understood that the male suspect entered the store at 10:30 in the morning, claiming that he wanted to buy a designer bag, and to pay after noon.
The employee was drugged after that.
