Suspected truck driver in Tuesday's fatal truck crash in Hung Hom arrested

Police have arrested a 49-year-old man of Indian descent in connection with yesterday's fatal truck accident in Hung Hom.
He is suspected to be the truck driver who fled the scene after the vehicle rammed into a bus stop, killing a woman and injuring another.
The crash occurred at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
A white truck, driving along the East Kowloon Corridor towards Yau Ma Tei, crossed three lanes before crashing into a bus stop on Chatham Road North.
One female pedestrian died and another was injured. The police arrested the 34-year-old owner of the truck that afternoon.
The non-ethnic Chinese man has been released on bail. Police later arrested a 49-year-old man of Indian descent, allegedly the truck driver, on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death.
